The best club for veterans and the family to belong to in southern California.

Great place to hang out with wonderful people. Service and food is really good and the live entertainment is fun! Very reasonable prices on our dinner.

An excellent yacht club run by dedicated volunteers co-located with the American legion Post famous for great dance parties fueled by great bands, inexpensive food and generous drinks.

I presently belong to and have belonged to other yacht clubs. With the facility on the 291 Post , the combination of the two is one of the best clubs I've seen and the best value ever. They have a club sailboat and a Duffy for the taking, at no cost. They have a big cruiser , Valor for Newport Harbor tours and events like opening the Newport to Ensenada race, Local races and Patriotic and Christmas time events. And it's run by a solid group of standup guys who work hard and successfully to provide great value for it's members, Veteran outreach, Sailing for the Blind and local and international cruises and events , including diving excursions to some of the best spots in the world. The dinner , live bands and dancing side of things is well taken care of by Post 291, allowing the Yacht Club to focus on the yachting side of things, and they do that very well. All with the backdrop of Newport Harbor....
