Blackhawk Country Club: Lakeside

We visited this golf course for the first time today. Since there was no one around at first, we walked a little on the course and take a look. Later, we noticed some players in the distance waving at us to leave. We didn’t see them right away, but once we understood their gesture, we immediately left. Unfortunately, as we were leaving, a man drove up very fast and shouted at us using the f-word, asking if we understood English. He was extremely rude and aggressive. I told him, “You’re too rude.” Later, we met two other people who seemed to be with him — they were polite and understanding when we apologized and explained it was our first time visiting. We understand it was our mistake to walk onto the course, but that man’s behavior was completely unnecessary — rude and discriminatory. We hope the management encourages more respectful communication with visitors in the future.

Our country club is truly a special place. It offers so much more than just great facilities—it’s a community. From the outstanding restaurants to the beautiful golf course, tennis and pickleball courts, and the wide range of kids’ activities, there is always something to enjoy for every age and interest. The management sets the tone with their professionalism and vision, and it shows in how well the club is run. The staff and instructors are equally impressive—friendly, skilled, and genuinely invested in making sure members feel welcome and supported, whether you’re playing a sport, attending an event, or simply relaxing. What makes the club stand out most is the atmosphere. It’s happy, inclusive, and filled with positive energy. It feels like a second home where families, couples, and individuals can all find their place. For parents, it’s wonderful to see how engaged the kids are in programs and activities, while adults can enjoy time on the courts, the course, or at the restaurants knowing everyone is having fun. It’s rare to find a club that balances world-class amenities with such a warm, family-friendly vibe, but this one does it beautifully. We couldn’t be happier to be members and couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Hands down the nicest courses I've had the honor to play at. The staff here are exceptional, respectful and down to earth. Conditions of the course are fantastic and the truest greens you'll ever play. Weather was perfect and some of the best views you'll get to experience on a course.

Spent a day here for tennis tournament. A really great area, nice facility but frustrated with tournament director/staff that couldn’t make up their minds fighting against weather conditions. It’s been forecasted raining days prior and even the day of tournament. Despite all that, still ask everyone to show up and enforce penalty for being late. Just not a great experience for me.
