The Vintage Club: Mountain

I recently had the chance to play the Mountain Course at The Vintage Club, and it was truly a special experience. The setting alone is incredible, with the Santa Rosa Mountains creating a stunning backdrop throughout the round. Every hole feels beautifully framed and thoughtfully laid out without ever feeling forced. Off the tee, the course is generous enough to be enjoyable, but it definitely makes you think on your approach shots. The water features and bunkers are positioned in a way that keeps you focused, and the greens are subtle but challenging. It’s the kind of course that doesn’t overwhelm you visually, yet you quickly realize how much strategy is involved. The conditioning was outstanding—perfect fairways and very smooth, consistent greens. Everything felt polished and well cared for. What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff was incredibly professional, welcoming, and attentive—easily on par with a five-star resort experience. The closing stretch from holes 16 through 18 was especially memorable. It’s a beautiful and well-designed finish that keeps the round exciting right to the end. Walking off the 18th green, you really feel like you’ve experienced something special. A truly elegant and unforgettable private golf experience.

The Vintage is one of my favorites. It is a very peaceful and serene place to stay.

I can see the allure of living here — spectacular views, great parking, huge homes and phenomenal staff. I just happened upon this as part of my job and the membership director has been professional and helpful.
