About the club
The Olympic Club, founded in 1860, holds the distinction of being the oldest athletic club in the United States. Initially playing baseball, it was not until 1918 that golf was introduced at the club. The original golf course was laid out by Tom Bendelow and was later redesigned by Sam Whiting in 1924. The course (the Lake Course) has earned recognition as one of the top-rated golf courses in the U.S.. The Olympic Club is a private club. While non-member play is typically not permitted, exceptions may be made for organized golf outings and events. Kindly contact the club for specific details.
