About the club
The Peninsula Golf & Country Club was founded in 1911 and initially named The San Mateo Country Club. The club acquired a picturesque piece of land surrounded by eucalyptus trees and approved a golf course designed by famed architect Donald Ross in 1922. The name was changed to the Peninsula Golf & Country Club in 1945. Membership at The Peninsula Golf & Country Club is private and by invitation only.
