Extremely frustrated with the maintenance service here. A simple maintenance request took almost two months to complete. There was little to no communication, and I had to follow up repeatedly with no clear timeline. For the rent we pay, this kind of service is unacceptable. I would not recommend this apartment if timely maintenance is important to you.

Zero stars if I could. I lived here for three years, and after the property manager changed, things got significantly worse. The current management does not care about tenants and kept my security deposit while also charging extra for simple, normal wear and tear. Be very careful—this feels like a pattern. The apartments are old and poorly maintained, with issues like mold, very loud and outdated appliances, and overall neglect. I truly wish someone had warned me before I moved in. There are far better and safer options in Delaware. I do not recommend this place at all, especially for families with young children.

Strongly not recommended for prospective tenants. My experience at Cavalier Country Club Apartments has been extremely disappointing due to ongoing maintenance failures, poor management practices, and unprofessional staff behavior. Maintenance Issues: Maintenance requests are routinely ignored or left open for months without resolution. Even essential issues affecting daily living were not addressed in a timely manner. Follow-ups were repeatedly required, often without any response. Move-Out Charges and Security Deposit: After moving out, the management applied unjustified and questionable charges against my security deposit. These charges did not reflect normal wear and tear and appeared to be an attempt to withhold deposit funds without proper explanation or documentation. Office Staff and Communication: The leasing office staff were consistently rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. Communication was poor, with delayed responses, lack of clarity, and no accountability when issues were raised. Health and Safety Concerns: Many apartments, including mine, show signs of mold and fungal growth, particularly around vents and HVAC systems. Air vents are often blocked or heavily contaminated with dust and debris, resulting in minimal airflow to bedrooms. Heating and cooling performance is severely compromised, raising serious comfort and potential health concerns. Overall Condition of Property: The buildings are clearly rundown and outdated, yet continue to operate without meaningful upgrades or preventative maintenance. The general condition does not justify the rent being charged. Conclusion: This property appears to be poorly managed and maintained. Prospective renters should exercise caution and thoroughly document everything if they choose to live here. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this apartment complex.

Do not recommend living here. Believe the reviews. Management gets paid to never even be in the office. Your maintenance request will just be left unattended because they can’t keep maintenance people. I was told all their maintenance workers quit. So instead of accommodating you, be prepared to have to pay out of pocket while they still expect you to pay your rent in full. Leasing agents will tell you different things depending on who you talk to. Management won’t ever get back to you because like I mentioned before they get paid to never be there or do their jobs. I’m paying almost $2000 for a 3 bedroom 2 bath with a washer and dryer in unit. I was left with unresolved maintenance request for over a month leaving me with one function bathroom, no washing machine and a broken balcony door. What am I paying for? Don’t waste your time or money living here!!!

(1) Before I got the apartment, they told me the exact moving date. On that date, they told me to come back four days later so they could ensure everything was ready. I had to stay in a hotel, hoping that things would be ready so I could settle. (2) After I got my apartment (summer), the apartment was a mess, there were a lot of issues that needed to be fixed, the washer and the dryer did not work, the AC was only heat, the microwave was missing from the apartment, insects and spiders were everywhere, and the apartment was not clean at all! It took them one -two months to fix everything. (3) The piping system in these apartments is super old. I had to deal with WASTEWATER leakage FOUR times, which was in the bathroom and in the closet, damaging some of my clothes. (4) It is so expensive for the quality they provide. And they increase the rates every year by about 4%! If you decide to break your lease, there will be a big money charge for that! (5) I wanted to break my lease since I am leaving DE. They told me I will still be responsible for paying the rental until they find someone else to take the apartment, they didn't do any marketing efforts, the apartment was not listed in Zillow, Apartments.com, and not even in their website! **The only good thing that I can think about is my neighbors and the community living around, they are kind and peaceful.
