Isla Del Sol Yacht Club

​I visited the pool bar as a guest of members for drinks and appetizers. The pool is medium-sized with dining tables surrounding a small central bar area. It’s a very casual space where yacht attire, golf clothes, or bathing suits are all appropriate. The atmosphere is a mix of kids swimming, golfers grabbing a bite, and friends out for drinks. ​While the majority of the clubhouse is under construction, the noise was minimal. For the price of membership, this club luckily lacks a "Palm Royale" snotty attitude; it’s very welcoming and comfortable. The margaritas were amazing—I can't recommend them enough! We had chicken wings, flatbread, and tacos, which were typical "pub food" style. The food is good, but nothing to write home about. However, a huge shout-out to Hamza and Rashid, who were so friendly and made our experience a lot of fun!

When Hurricane Helene caused us to postpone last minute, Melissa and the team worked tirelessly to find a new date, even while their own homes were affected by the storm. They moved our date with no extra charge, despite the challenges of wedding season. The food was incredible, and the service was outstanding. There was a small hiccup when the appetizers came out before our family photos were finished, but Ty quickly stepped in and had extra platters brought out to ensure no one missed out. We are beyond thankful for Isla del Sol—Melissa, Ty, and the entire team made our wedding day nearly perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!"

Planning a destination wedding, we had looked at several venues over a few days when we had been in town. After looking at venue after venue that didn’t match what we envisioned, Isla del Sol was the last venue we looked at and we knew instantly that it was perfect. Between the private beach, access to the clubhouse the entire day, being the only wedding at the venue during the weekend and the option for s’mores on the beach afterwards, we knew we had found the perfect venue. During the planning process Melissa was always quick to answer our many questions. It was obvious she had experience putting on picture perfect weddings. In addition to her experience though, she was so sweet and made sure that everything was personalized to our vision. All of the vendors we selected were from her recommended list and we couldn’t have been happier with them. We had heard how amazing the food was at Isla del Sol, but when we went for our tasting it still beat our expectations. It was hard to narrow down to the final menu from the delicious food we tried. We know we made the right decision as all of our guest comments on how delicious the food was – everything from the hors d'oeuvres through dinner. The staff at Isla was always going the extra mile as well – between ensuring as bride and groom we had choice drinks as soon as we sat down, accommodating dietary restrictions, hors d'oeuvres at our seats before dinner, all the way to ensuring I had my signature drink down on the beach for s’mores! We not only had a picture perfect day for the wedding, but the most fun we have ever had. It was the perfect venue to celebrate with our friends and family. Thank you to Melissa and the entire team at Isla del Sol for the memories that will last a lifetime!

Isla Del Sol was the perfect place for our wedding and a HUGE reason why the day so magical and perfect. From the getting ready areas and simmering lighting on the grand stair case for portraits to the white sand and palm trees blowing in the breeze behind our ceremony, to the ballroom overlooking the water and the marina at sunset, the venue itself was just a dream. The natural beauty of the venue was made even better by the staff! Melissa and her assistants helped us through various stages of planning, vendor recommendations, tastings, and everything in between. The food was delicious and we had so many compliments! Drinks were flowing all night, and everyone had a blast. Our day literally went off without a hitch! Not one single thing went wrong and that is thanks to the hard work of the Isla staff and all of our vendors. My husband's family have been members for decades and he actually proposed to me in the gazebo under the guise of going to dinner at the clubhouse so getting married there was a no brainer! It was made even better when we toured the property with Melissa and booked the venue. The whole process was seamless and Melissa was there every step of the way explaining the process and helping soothe a somewhat anxious and type A bride. Thank you Melissa and Team!!!

We were blessed to have found the PERFECT spot for our dream beach wedding. Melissa is literally incredible at her job. She’s beyond helpful and always responded so quickly to any questions I had and not to mention she is so sweet. Ahmed in the catering department is by far one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet and we were lucky enough to have as a part of our big. He was so attentive and made sure the bride and groom were well fed and always had a drink. Thomas our bartender was amazing and the guests really liked him a lot. Overall - if I could give 10 stars I would. I can’t believe how perfect our day turned out due to this incredible staff that will go above and beyond.
