Absolutely my favorite place to race out of. Relaxed facility packed with friendly, high skilled people.

A big thank you to Susan and David for helping with my silly staple gun, (may it rest in peace). David was in the middle of rigging a boat and stopped rigging and performed surgery on the staple gun so I could continue my day of carpeting my boat bunk. This took a minute. Like 45 minutes or so. There are lots of pieces to a staple gun once you open it up. Who knew? After the staple gun could no longer be revived, he lent me his staple gun and even provided a funeral service for my dead gun (the trash can). All kidding aside, this may seem like a small thing, but it is an example of how David and Susan go above and beyond to support the Squadron. It’s all a part of the mindset and spirit that drives Sarasota Sailing Squadron and makes it such a special place. Thanks Susan and David for being who you are. You guys rock!

Learn to sail, have a picnic on the bay, visit Mote Marine. It’s all right there. Excellent facilities for the public. Kayaking and windsurfing. And don’t miss the nature trail back in the mangroves.

Very friendly and safe environment for kids to enjoy sailing. Highly recommended!

One of the greatest venues in the USA for sailing. Just got back from the 2019 Mid-winter Regatta. 5 different racing lines in Sarasota Bay is one organized operation.
