Orchid Island Golf and Beach Club was founded in 1988 and represents a private club featuring world-class golfing facilities. Named after the island on which it is situated, the club's golf course was designed by legendary golfer Arnold Palmer, opening its doors officially in 1990,,. Membership at Orchid Island Golf and Beach Club is exclusive and by invitation only. Non-members are not allowed access to the course except when accompanied by a member.
