Beautiful course! Here to watch the Western junior open!

Constructed in 1921 - and manicured like a salon, this is a must play course! Good staff, good kitchen, good amenities. ( almost deducted a star for lack of valet ( they have them, but where are they when you roll up?) But, that's nitpicking, and I only pick horses....)

My Dad, Theodore F. Boecker Jr. along with 2 other men started this golf course in 1921. I worked there watering and mowing greens in the early 1950's as a high school student and played golf there. I recently toured part of the course with my sister to see the new course design of several years ago. The course condition and layout is one of the finest I have ever seen.

We visited the country club for a baby shower. The room was nice and we were undisturbed. The rest of the facility was also in good shape. I am certainly not an expert when it comes to country clubs, but this place seemed a bit low key. The staff was very friendly though and accommodating to our wishes. I certainly can't say much about the rest of the facilities or the golfing experience.
