One of the best kept secrets in Indianapolis. Sailboats only. Amazing grounds and clubhouse with the best atmosphere

Just joined the Indianapolis Sailing Club this year to get back into sailing after 45 year hiatus. Club offers everything from youth sailing camps to adult training, and pleasure sailing, and even has competitive "one design class" racing and non-competitive racing on Wednesday evenings. Memberships are affordable and you don't even have to own a boat. You can sail the boats the club owns or crew for other members! Overall the club offers lots of opportunities to get on the water either as a volunteer, crew, or boat skipper. The grounds are spacious and the clubhouse on the hill even has galley facility and showers. I have met many members by crewing and volunteering, and the club hosts social events to bring people together. Great bunch of people, and I can't think of a better way to learn and enjoy sailing and make new friends.

Very nice member owned yacht club. They have 13 acres of beautiful property and are quite friendly. They offer sailing lessons to members and nonmembers. Membership dues seemed high at first blush but when you realize that you're buying a piece of the place and must cover the cost of maintenance and taxes, it doesn't seem so bad.

Thanks we came for an MC Scow Regatta. What a nice group very helpful. Good food fun and a great place to sail an MC Scow
