About the club

The course layout at our club is a true gem. The renowned Donald Sechrest of Tulsa, Oklahoma, designed the 18-hole, 114-acre course in 1971. Sechrest's work incorporates lush fairways, tees and perfectly-groomed greens, which are irrigated and surrounded by a few small, strategically-positioned lakes. Play spans 6,675 yards from the longest tees for a par of 71. We have four tee lengths, making Ames the perfect round of golf for players of all skill levels. Our course is also equipped with a practice and teaching facility, large practice green, club repair, handicap system, club storage, a fleet of 40 electric golf cars, golf shop and many opportunities for lessons.
