This is a private yacht club at Selby Bay, just off the South River in Edgewater, MD. This is a great facility (great docks, swimming pool, clubhouse, club cruises, social events). Great access to the Chesapeake Bay. Great social get togethers at the firepit. Slips range in size from 45 to 80 feet.

They gave us shelter in a storm and treated us like royalty.
Steve Knox
Rude ownership, very unwelcoming. Recommend going elsewhere.

Was there for a wedding reception. A lot of fun really pretty view.

HIstoric Site - Before this incredibly pet friendly, Oasis in Edgewater became the Selby Bay Yacht Club...It was a Secret Executive Destination about an Hours Drive From the Nation's Capital and just Shy of Annapolis This waterfront property communicated using only candlelight. No phones, radios, hot and cold running water or for that matter no indoor plumbing or Air Conditioning. The bathroom was not inside but outside in an outhouse, There was a fire place, wood stove, a comfortable dining area and an eternally well stocked liquor closet and the well water was clean and sweetened with the smell and taste of what can only be described as and still remains today, that unforgettable taste and smell, of "Chesapeake Bay Well Water" known for it's ability to hydrate you without making you sick, All this was cozy luxury and before Camp David was even dreamt about. Yet , back then this was very much considered an upscale and clean, clandestine and safe "House of Il' Repute " Originally used for Late Evening -Discrete Rendezvous by an exclusive list of Post WW1 to Pre-Vietnam US Presidents. Now an exclusive Yacht/Sailboat Club with an non-discriminatory policy of open membership Exclusive Membership are achievable and eventually available. It's a relatively long waiting list, cash deposit will hold your spot. CAsh Bribes and even family connections to the Elected Club Commodore can't/won't help you here. Patience, a well kept water craft and as long as you have the time to wait for someone to pass-away or just retire to Florida, the cash flow for Slightly more pricey Yacht Club's usual costs and most importantly a bonafide and certifiable relationship with at least one current member that will sponsor you (at the risk of being permanently removed, forever excluded, stricken from the charter, shunned for eternity if you were accepted and months later you fouled and were removed so they may well be too just for introducing you - typical Social Club stuff). Pristinely kept, clean and beautiful Historic Clubhouse (renovated and expanded recently), Pool, Grounds, Parking, 24/7 Secured / Gated Access. Large Deep Slips have the Prime Views, Lifts Are Allowed Club Porter always available to assist.
