Overall had a wonderful time, my family and I booked this very last minute and the owner Wendy was so very kind to support us in this. We honestly wish we spent more time with her. The location is great, 3 hour experience was very unique and very beautiful. The only thing that we found to be a bit strange was the attitude of the person who was doing the lesson out on the water. The gentleman was socially awkward and did not actually seem like he wanted to be there. In addition he was not exactly the best teacher for a group of people who had zero experience with sailing which is the whole point of the experience. At the end of the day we did have a nice time but I do think who you get as the teacher really matters. It’s an expensive investment and special opportunity, so I do think having a person with a positive and inspiring attitude would have made this a better experience.

What a great operation. I am an adult who wanted to learn to sail. I registered for a group lesson followed by private lessons over a couple weeks. It was a blast and I can't wait to take more classes next summer.

SaileMaine is the best. Always great service and experience. I appreciate that they are very flexible and make necessary adjustments to boat scheduling when there is no wind or the weather gets bad (rain, etc.). Very nice staff and J22 boats are really great and well maintained. I wished there were more places like that around the country.

Sail Maine is an excellent institution! I took adult lessons with them; scheduling was convenient and flexible, everyone was very professional, and the pricing was very fair for the level of training and service required offered. After a few lessons, I felt comfortable enough to tackle the skipper certification process with Sail Maine, and now I look forward to continuing my relationship there with hourly boat rentals. Definitely a great way to get into sailing, and an equally great way to experience Casco bay.

My daughter enjoyed this camp so much!!! The instructors made it fun and helped bring out her passion for sailing. I highly recommend them she will be returning next year ☺️
