Staff is professional and helpful. The PGA pro, Brian Corwin is awesome, super helpful and glad to help someone improve their game.

Popped in 5/10/25 for lunch - very friendly staff, food was made fresh, prices were very reasonable and plenty of seating - replay of the Tigers game was on the many TV’s around the area. There is a room closer to the bar and an additional seating area with windows lining the exterior of the room from which you can see the golf course. I’ll definitely be back!

Terrific golfing, wait staff, and conditions! However, we found the larger male pro shop worker seemed to be “put out” that we were golfing on the course (as if it’s actually his…maybe). He really made us feel unwelcome knowing we are not locals or something. Even when we dropped the cart off in the incorrect spot, the employee corrected us with a similar polite but “put out” manner. Some really weird vibes & unfriendly interactions from some employees that really diminished the experience of a truly beautiful track & day.

What a great course! I've been coming to this area for almost 20 years playing Tullymore and St.Ives and never really had a chance to play the Royal in CL - what a hidden gem.

Tried this course for the first time and it did not disappoint. Played two rounds and loved the course. From the first tee to coming up the picturesque 18th the course was in excellent condition. The fairways and greens were in great shape. The cart paths were in great condition as well. We played later in the fall so the trees were changing and the deer were plentiful. Woods and water come into play on a good number of holes. The bunkers were in good shape with nice sand and not the gravel stuff you see on other courses. The clubhouse was beautiful and has a restaurant with wonderful food. The chili dogs were fantastic. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They gave us some good tips on how to play the course and I wish I would have listened to them! LOL Overall I would play this course again and recommend it to anyone looking for an adventure.
