We went to a gala fundraiser the other night where the cost per plate was $125. The food was close to inedible. I had to saw at the beef because it was so burnt, and I left most of the chicken which was very dry. It was questionable if the potatoes were potatoes or something like riced cauliflower. I did like the carrot cake which seemed on par with a cake from a grocery store — nothing special but at least not noticeably terrible. This was our third year attending this particular fundraiser at the Club, and the food was much worse.

We recently got married here, and from start to finish, it was an incredible experience. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful — spacious enough to comfortably accommodate a large guest list, yet flexible enough to feel intimate when a few guests couldn’t make it. The layout and setup made the evening feel perfectly tailored to us. The view was breathtaking — the sunset over the golf course created a stunning backdrop right behind our head table, and some of our favorite photos came from that moment. What truly set this venue apart, though, was the people. From day one, Elly went above and beyond. I’ll never forget driving by one evening around 6:30pm after she had already wrapped up a long day, and she still offered to give me a quick walkthrough. The very next day, she welcomed us back for the full tour. That level of dedication immediately told me we were in good hands. Erin was just as amazing. She was so friendly, attentive, and made our wedding day run seamlessly. Her calm and organized presence took all the stress off our shoulders and allowed us to simply enjoy the best day of our lives. We can’t thank The Club at Golden Valley enough for giving us a night we will never forget. If you’re looking for a stunning venue with a team that truly cares — this is the place.

Course is in excellent shape. Very scoreable. Many holes you can miss the fairway and still recover, but beware the rough. It can gobble up balls and they are hard to find. Greens rolling at about a 12.5 and in excellent condition. Stay below the pin and avoid the (deep) bunkers at all cost.

Jenny is the best when it comes to planning and communicating, always responding within 48 hours when I emailed her. The cost was reasonable to use the facilities including an outdoor ceremony with chairs, lighting, dance floor etc. We had considered Rush Creek Golf Course but GVCC was much more affordable in comparison. Their food was delicious and we got so many compliments on it, and they have a pastry chef who did our cake and cupcakes as well which saved us from having to get another vendor. Overall we loved GVCC and would highly recommend it for weddings!

INCREDIBLE MINNESOTA WEDDING VENUE. If you're looking for an elegant space with plenty of photography options and generous, kind, and professional staff, look no further! I was here for a wedding a few weeks back and as a photographer, I get a unique perspective into the inner working of venue management. Let me tell you - this staff is incredible and so easy to work with! They made the bride and groom's day run smoothly, on time, and stress-free. Can't wait to be back again!
