About the club
Founded in 1865, the University Club of New York is the original American university club — established before either the Harvard or Yale Clubs. The McKim, Mead & White palazzo on Fifth Avenue and 54th Street is considered a masterpiece of American Renaissance architecture, housing one of the finest private libraries and art collections in New York. Membership is open to graduates of accredited universities and includes the most comprehensive athletic facilities of any New York City club: squash, tennis, a swimming pool, and a fitness center. A landmark in every sense.
