Garden Golf Dumbea
About the club
The Dumbéa Garden Golf is the oldest golf course in New Caledonia. It was built and designed in the early 1980s by Australian architect Robert Green. It is a rustic course, set amidst a forest of ironwood, niaouli, jameloniers, Kaoris, various coconut and palm trees, hibiscus, and other endemic trees of the territory. The course follows the natural design of the "Dumbéa" river with long holes, narrow and slightly undulating greens. Players will find great playability on this golf course with many natural obstacles, such as large, beautiful, and mature trees and refreshing rivers on this sunny golf course illuminated by the Pacific light. The 11th hole, a small elevated par 3, overlooks the last 9 holes and offers a panoramic view of the Koghi and Dzumac mountains. The 17th hole is one of the longest and most challenging par 5 in the Pacific, with its 560 meters, right dog leg, small lake, and river to cross. The welcoming staff and the UGOLF Academy professionals, young and dynamic, receive the different golfers in a simple and friendly atmosphere.
