Locke Lake Colony Golf Course: Locke Lake

We had our mothers 89 birthday party there. It had plenty of room and was perfect.

Playgrounds could be better.. could have more things to do around here. Maybe a little country store or something.

I have lived here (part time) for several years now and just love it. Enjoy your sunny days on the lake, on the tennis courts, in the well kept community pools and beaches, or on the golf course. Finish with a quiet night on the porch with a cocktail, listening to the orchestra of loons and frogs and other wildlife...awesome. For the winter lovers, there is a network of sledding/hiking trails you can connect to from the neighborhood and ice fishing is common. The facilities (minus the 6 hole golf course) and roads are pretty well kept(even with a tiny association fee). The residents are mostly quiet and peaceful until fireworks season...when the weekend nights come to life with festive fireworks by several residents(i think a couple of them work for fireworks manufacturers or retailers). The homes in the neighborhood are mostly in good to great condition. In fact, since 2017 when we moved into Locke Lake Colony, many homes have been renovated and built. I love it there, and cant wait for my retirement to come to enjoy it full time.

Amazing place to live and raise a family! In ground pools, tennis courts, golf course, more than 8 private beaches on Locke Lake and Half Moon lake. If you're looking to purchase a home. I highly recommend purchasing a home in Locke Lake association in Center Barnstead NH.
