Wonderful golf club! The staff are like family and they make sure everyone feels welcome and well take care of. The course is beautiful, fun and challenging. The club house is open to the public and has fantastic views, delicious food and the servers are always friendly! Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic experience at Somersett Golf Course! The round was amazing, the course is beautifully maintained and offers a great mix of challenge and scenery. The clubhouse and amenities are top-notch, but where they really shine is the food and service. The staff went above and beyond to make the visit memorable. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Can’t wait to come back!

Overall - We have been members of SGCC since 2008. The boys - now in High School - took golf lessons starting at about 3 and 4 years old. Both still play, one as a freshman on the varsity team. And my 25 y o daughter who is special needs, loves driving in the cart as fast as she can and is a pro at putting! (or kicking it in soccer style if the club is not behaving. We ALL feel that way sometimes!) Bunker - We miss the feel of the old Bunker restaurant, but the new clubhouse has hosted various club and private parties that we have attended and enjoyed. We have not used the new simulator yet but everyone who tries it is thrilled! Restaurant - We sure miss Rhiana as the main person in food and beverage. Everything was smooth and our high expectations were always met, as she coached all the staff and they were very attentive, food was timely, and good quality. Jury is out about new management and staff. Giving the benefit of the doubt. Carts/staff - The new carts are the bomb, only to be surpassed by the new cart folks who are wonderful! Brodi, Tristan and Ian are all very polite and helpful and patient! Sometimes I forget to put cash in my bag or purse on the way in to golf...but I always take care of them before I leave. Course - The course looks AMAZING right now. Robb and his staff always take such good care of it. Given that it is the most challenging course in Reno, that's a good thing! We look forward to the improvements on hole 7 to be complete soon and grateful that it was decided to make those adjustments. Pro Shop - Stuart (main pro), Corey, Kevin, Rob and the new guy, Casey, are all accommodating and thoughtful and very talented teachers and diplomats when it comes to course issues, events and the industry as a whole. I love taking lessons from Brandy as well. She has a way of making you "laugh" about golf - which as you know - is not possible 100% of the time. The new "pink" and more feminine additions at the pro shop for women's attire has been a welcomed change, especially all the "pink" items for Pink Ball tournament! Leagues - My husband has enjoyed all the SMGA tournaments and other events. He is a very good golfer. I, on the other hand, get out on Fridays for 9 holes with a bunch of women who are learning to play and get out for fun Fridays, and most of us do not keep score. And that's okay. We are very supportive of each other and have a blast. Watching each other improve over time has been a blessing. SLGA here is so generous and thoughtful. I don't have the ability to do more than 1 or 2 tournaments a year, but when I do it's guaranteed good time. Practice- The driving range is always stocked w golf balls and most members are polite about its use. The club is always trying to rehab the range and the efforts bear fruit. The pitching/chipping area was really needed and I am so glad we spent the money on it. Weakest part of my game! Putting area is great - and really only use it w parent/kid putting contests w Junior Golf. Those days are just about over. Dad. It goes so fast! The dining room and outdoor seating are so pleasant this time of year. And the new changes to the menu have been tasty! I have played most of the courses In Reno/Sparks/Carson area since I moved here in 1991. I am so grateful that Somersett is our home course, as well as our neighborhood. "It's Good to Be Home" isn't just a slogan, it is a well-intended and true sentiment. 💚You really need to play golf here. Then... 💚You'll get the bug. Then... 💚Join, move here, and then relax and enjoy. IMHO, there are not many things to be sure of these days. Somersett Golf & Country Club is one of them.

I eat here 2-3 times per week and it just gets better and better. The Avocado Toast with poached eggs is awesome for breakfast. Their lunch is also good with burgers, BLT's, salads and more. The dinner menu is also good with steaks, seafood and pasta dishes. The view is top-notch and the staff are all excellent.
