We lived in the apartments next door in 1966, I would jump the fence and play the course. Never played 1 or 18.

This was our initial visit to the Hempstead Golf and Country Club. We had the opportunity to play with members, and the course was both beautiful and moderately challenging. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The food was quite good, even at the 9th hole.

Nice golf and tennis club in the middle of Hempstead never knew it was there. The food was excellent too.
