My grandfather Ricky Balzafiore was one of the founding members of the Hudson River Yacht Club. He passed away in 1984 and would have been 100 this year. I have his original membership card. He was member number 24. I have many memories of going fishing early on most Sunday mornings from April through October in the 1970s with him and my great grandfather from the club.

We had a breakdown with our boat on top of needing gas ,we met Paul and his wife who are the people in charge of the club and I must say they went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and helped us in every way they could,it was Sunday night and while we waited for Sea Tow to arrive they extended their hospitality to us bringing us water and popcorn and eventuality with their help our boat was started thank you Paul you are a true gentleman.
