My husband and I are cruising our boat (Tiara 3900 Open with twin inboards) from Florida to Wisconsin. There have been heavy rains earlier this summer causing a lot of debris in the Hudson River. Unfortunately, there was a log under water we did not see until we heard it and saw it surface behind the boat. There was a terrible vibration after that occurred causing us to assume we bent a prop. We were fortunate to find Alex's Marine. He directed us to Newburgh Yacht Club for a haul out to assess the damage. Not only was Alex there when we arrived for the haul out but Dan from the Yacht club (one of the Board members) was there to operate the lift. We were quickly hauled out, assessed for damages and determined there must have been some debris lodged in one of the props or rudders that was causing the vibration that dislodged when they pulled the boat. Prepared to pay for the services they both declined. It is sometimes hard to find good people in the world these days but these gentlemen were AMAZING! We can't thank you enough. We already have plans to pay the favor forward to someone else in need. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

I had the opportunity to go to Newburgh yachts club to do a boating safety 🦺 course Nice location Captain Bob was in instructor who did a fantastic job and the members of The yacht club were very friendly and welcome everybody who was there and I had a chance to talk to a couple of members. They invited me back again. It was a nice clean environment and like I said a beautiful location along the Hudson River. And thanks again to the members of the Newburgh yacht club for hosting a boating safety course with Captain Bob

Great place my friends own a boat and we went out today perfect weather. The people who have boats there are awesome what a great little community they have.

My family have been members for most of my life and I have to say the yacht club is like a second home and it's members are like a second family to me, with a pool that's a ton of fun as well as healthy for you being salt water, events open to the public as well as exclusive Club events and the ability to host private events (as long as you ask the board/make sure there are no events happening at the same time as your event)
