If you like to race I'm sure it's great... But I visited there on a Sunday afternoon about an hour after the races had started and there seemed to be nobody left in the clubhouse that acted like they were interested in helping a new sailor. I just acquired a thistle and needed some advice on some of the rigging and fittings on my boat. Drove an hour and 20 minutes to get here and there wasn't a soul on shore who seemed like they knew anything about the organization. If I ran this club I would most likely have a PR person in the clubhouse just in case someone showed up while watching the races and wanted to inquire about participation.

Great place to sail ! Everything a person could ask for at a small inland lake. The 10 HP limit makes it a safe place to be in a small boat. The people at CLSA are friendly.

The Sailing Club was founded in 1954 and has remained very active in Southwest Ohio as the Sailing Club with a very strong Junior program and active sailboat racing program. The club also has a three season building for Gathering after the races and also has a separate building with showers and a view of the lake for its campers and overnight visitors. It is an active all volunteer organization. but is not a public venue, it is a private club which is always interested in gaining new members.

My family just joined this summer and the leadship got us right in and has been so friendly. Members have helped us right our boat and to get out on the lake and relearn good sailing technique. There is also boat storage areas and campgrounds. This is a great place to belong if you are looking for kind people on a lake made for sailing.

Race a sailboat, or not. Lake has 9.9hp restriction, that means a lot to nonmotorized water craft. Club has a nice vibe. But in disclaimer I'm not only a user I'm also a member.
