Friendly old world charm. New harbor approach. Worth a visit.

This is a beautiful club full of very wonderful members. Best place to be on Lake Erie!

We were social members for a few months and it was not a good fit and we quit. I find it unacceptable to be bullied by members or workers and then ignored when standing up for yourself. However if you are fine being put in your place as a woman right in front of your daughter who also got scolded, it has a pretty sunset. Just try not to use 1 of the 2 umbrellas. Never going back.

This is a nice yacht club. I went here for a regatta and was satisfied with my experience. Thai yacht club has a pool and a basketball court, but it was flooded when I went here. The yacht club is very fancy, having a dining area with white table cloth and Mediterranean architecture. This yacht club has lots of docks for boats and is located right by Lake Erie. There’s a small channel that goes from the harbor where the docks are into the lake. I gave this yacht club five stars because it’s very fancy and I felt rich while I was here.

Beautiful club, however, VERY rude to guests. Tried to sit down to have a meal. Not 1 person asked to see if they could assist us. When someone finally came over, we were asked to remove ourselves from the table as this spot was for members that may want to eat. Still no recommendations as to how we could possibly order food. We were visiting yes, but the snotty attitude was such a turn off, there’s no way ever I would recommend someone joining this club. I have family in the area and have recommended them to the yacht club. I’ve since taken back my recommendation. We were embarrassed and made to feel like we had the plague. Too bad- we had a six top - and were ready to spend some $$. We left and won’t be coming back and I will be sure to spead the word to my family. I am a member of a reciprocal club. I’m happy to say our guests from other clubs don’t experience this. Again, gorgeous club and beautiful location but a little courtesy and an opportunity to explain the rules rather than the tactics used which included making us feel unwelcome and like we were invaders would be more appropriate. We went as guests of a regatta and I’m sure that was already an inconvenience to the members- I understand the ruffled feathers. However, a simple tactful explanation may have been a better approach and would have saved a lasting negative impression. made upon the 6 of us. Edit to my review. I still feel unfortunate regarding our treatment at the restaurant yesterday- however the commodore is fantastic and extremely helpful as is the gas dock staff. For that I give 10 stars! Maybe there’s an opportunity for attitude adjustments all the way around.
