Oakhurst Country Club: Oakhurst

If you are a person of color, avoid the disrespect and do not play here. I was never so humiliated in my life. Just let me play golf according to the rules that govern the game. Why is my color an issue?

Do not be fooled. This course is miserable. Not well maintained, had not been sprayed for bugs, pro-shop was out of golf balls, and in general the place just looks rundown.

I would like to start off by saying the members are great there. I met some really good people. The problem is the course. It isn't maintained with weeds on the tee boxes and bunkers in really poor shape. Im was sometimes embarrassed to bring some of my heritage GC friends on as guest . I was a member there for two yrs and it wasn't very good experience for a private club. I always had to load my own bag and there was hardly ever tees and towels in the carts. I hear that the new head pro is better than the last but can't really elaborate on that , I don't really know him. I've played better public courses and I wish them luck hope they can get it cleaned up because the course has a good layout.

Just did a wedding there...when we arrived the kitchen was disgusting, the dish washer broke down 1/2 way through washing all the caterers stoneware and Country Club wouldn't allow them to use the second dish washer! Asked for tables to be put away that was not needed and wouldn't. After decorating the v Reception area we asked it would be vacuumed before guest arrived and never was! Air conditioning was not properly working! May be a great course to golf but would not suggest renting for a wedding!!!

Extremely well maintained and the price is right! Greens were tough but not terrible. Long course with a decent amount of water. Great clubhouse / bar.
