LuLu Country Club: Lu Lu

I went there for my 50th reunion, from Upper Dublin High School. It's a beautiful venue. We had a private room with the outside porch. The food was delicious including the chicken and the prime rib. The venue is very well cared for and the staff were excellent. It certainly made for an enjoyable time. There was a lot going on this Saturday,I was there. It was nice to see the place.So active and everything went so smooth. Hope you have the same experience we had, at Lulu.

Played this course for only the 2nd time, the first in 25 years. This course has about 6 genuinely nice holes, but here is what ruined it for me. 1) to get to the driving range we had to walk across THREE fairways while golfers were playing g those holes. Isn't there someway to get a cart path to the range without interfering with play or risk getting drilled with a ball? 2) I have no problem with fast greens (actually prefer them) but a number of greens here are so severely sloped as to be utterly unfair. 3) This is my biggest gripe: Although it doesn't seem possible, it seems as if a majority of the holes are lined on one side or another by cars zooming by at 45 MPH! I am a decent golfer (90's) who has been k own to pull or slice a tee shot. I often found myself aiming well left of the fairway (usually into trees) to lessen the chance of breaking a windshield on the street to the right. It was like playing on the grass medial strip of Roosevelt Blvd! This constant noise and hazard presented by the omnipresent traffic is annoying, to say the least. When this course was built in 1912 those were probably dirt roads with a few horse drawn carriages, but today's urban congestion has smothered this course! Why they haven't planted evergreens along the fence surrounding the property I can't imagine. If they had done it 20 yrs ago the evergreens would be 30 ft tall now, which would make the course much safer and a bit quieter. The driving range and sloped greens are tolerable, but playing along side the interstate is not. I won't play this course again unless they put some type of barrier along the streets. My honest opinion is that in 20 yrs this will be a housing development!

I have been a member for going on 2 years now. I have played around 100 rounds here already and am not in the least bit sick of this fun and quirky track. There is a lot of variance in the holes, with fun elevation changes and challenging, fast Donald Ross greens. Management has been making wonderful updates to the course to keep it in tip top shape. I book myself into random groups quite often and the fellow members are always very down to earth and fun people. There are plenty of talented golfers here too if you’re looking for a friendly match. You will not find a better private club at this value anywhere in the area.

Came here a few nights ago! It’s a new restaurant in my development! I’m absolutely glad they opened up here! The food is amazing! The burgers had such a great flavor! Prices are amazing! Went back the next day for buffalo wings, not too spicy and very plentiful! Fast forward to tonight, Karaoke! We met up with some co-workers! They even got me to sing Tiffany!!! This place is amazing to come to after a long day at work, or, if you don’t feel like cooking dinner! I definitely recommend!!
