What a beautiful experience I had the other day at the SVC!! Looks like you mayq have just gained a member! You have an absolutely gorgeous facility located in a pristine, breath taking spot on the river! Can't wait for my first experience! Thank you kindly for your hospitality!!

About SYC... I've been a member since 2004, if that says anything. I started sailing in 2001 with a 17 foot fiberglass Texas Trimaran (3-Hull) at Pinchot State Park, which was a long, narrow lake, perfect for learning how to tach every 2 minutes (not fun turning that frequently). The next year I went to Codorus State Park, with a lake 4 times bigger, and never went back to Pinchot. Bought a Catalina 22 monohull, a bit big for Codorus, and after a year-and-a-half discovered Lake Clark in the Susquehanna River. Of the 2 marinas and 2 yacht clubs, it is my opinion that the 120-plus member SYC offers many amenities and a good value, as well as social events, helpful members, and a lot of camaraderie. Lake Clark is formed by a hydro dam on the Susquehanna River between York and Lancaster Counties, and is a hidden gem big enough to host all kinds of boaters, paddlers, and fishermen, from 3 counties away. I've learned a lot on this water, experienced many different sailing situations, and there's always club members to help and share experiences around the campfire. Close to home, 25 minutes from York or Lancaster. I plan on staying a member and sailing here even if I move 3 hours away.
