Well, howdy there, folks! Gather 'round and let me tell you about my recent adventure at the Fox Run Country Club in the charming town of Simpsonville, South Carolina. Let me tell ya, it was a real hoot! First things first, the drive up to the club was as smooth as my homemade gravy on Thanksgiving Day. The entrance greets you like an old friend with its picturesque scenery, and let me tell you, the grass is greener than my lawn after a good summer rain. The clubhouse stands tall and proud like a patriotic eagle, ready to welcome golfers of all ages and abilities. Now, let's talk about the course. The 18-hole beauty stretches out like a cat basking in the sun. Each hole has its own unique personality, kinda like my kids. Some are straightforward and easy-going, while others are trickier than getting my teenage son to mow the lawn. But don't you worry, there's something here for everyone, from the seasoned pro to the weekend warrior just looking to whack a few balls and maybe enjoy a cold one afterward. The fairways are as wide as Aunt Marge's hugs, and the greens? Well, they’re smoother than butter on a hot biscuit. I had a bit of trouble with that darn 12th hole – it’s a doozy, but hey, if it was easy, everyone would be doing it, right? And speaking of doing it, bring your A-game to the 18th! That final hole is as dramatic as a soap opera cliffhanger, and it'll have you on the edge of your seat. The staff at Fox Run? They’re friendlier than a puppy at a picnic. Always there with a smile and a “How ya doin’?” that makes you feel right at home. And after a good round, you can head on over to the clubhouse for a bite to eat. Their burgers are juicier than my wife’s homemade apple pie, and trust me, that’s saying something! So if you find yourself in Simpsonville with a hankering for some golf and good times, head on over to Fox Run Country Club. It's a slice of Americana with a side of Southern hospitality that'll have you coming back for seconds, just like my famous barbecue ribs. Swing on by, folks, you won't regret it!

Really beautiful course. Enjoyed the layout and challenge and used almost all of the clubs in my bag. If I lived closer I’d play far more often there.

I love everything about Fox Run. The golf course is fun and seems to always be in great shape when I play it. The best aspect is their understated vibe. They keep it simple and don’t try too hard….really hard to find these days at even the top clubs in the US. Great staff and the membership is friendly. One recommendation I’d make is for the club to just use the Fox as the logo and get rid of the text and circle around it. Having a simple, clean logo will add to its mystique and lend itself well to the club’s “keep it simple” mantra. Also will look great on merchandise! This place is a true blast from the past and I adore it.

A scenic golf course tucked away off the beaten path, yet easy to get to, in the heart of Simpsonville. Plenty of trees, lakes, and ponds, and lush fairways, make for a beautiful, peaceful setting. The clubhouse has a restaurant with bar, and a spacious event space.
