Our 1 year anniversary was relaxing and a great recovery weekend, which was much needed. Nice and quiet location. Amazing winter stay.

I booked a room at this resort in the fall for an anniversary. I specifically selected a room with a fall atmosphere, featuring a spacious balcony and a fireplace. When I arrived at the resort, the front desk employee informed me of a room change, which was not communicated to me until my arrival. They put us in another room with a completely different atmosphere, which we were extremely unhappy with. The room we were placed in had a much smaller balcony and had a very summer atmosphere. I checked the availability on the website for other neutral rooms and found that others were available, so I went to the front desk to request a room change, but the employee said there was nothing he could do. We went for a second time to request a room change, but the employee would not accommodate us. Additionally, on the website it stated that bike rentals are available with your stay, but they were put away for the season when we got there, which was not communicated effectively on the website either. I reached out to the resort the day after to request some kind of refund for this abrupt room change since the stay did not meet our expectations, but I never received a reply. The staff is very uncooperative and will not accommodate you. Great location, but the management ruined the stay for our anniversary.

We have been coming to BHYCR for years. It was always a wonderful place to stay with family when I was growing up, but now coming as an adult, I love it even more. GORGEOUS views of the lake! I could sit here and look at the water all day. We have grown to love "Donny S" the tug boat too :) The sunrise and sunset are just perfect from the balcony with a cup of coffee or hot tea. Had a very nice, updated room complete with ceiling fans, which we love. The resort is always decorated so beautifully for Fall. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate are available in the lobby, and sometimes apple cider during Fall fest weekends too! Everyone at the front desk is so kind, and quick to get you extra towels or whatever you need! We love the peace and quiet of Baileys Harbor. See you again soon!!

Beautiful rooms, many different options for type of room. (If you want a kitchen or separate bedrooms or multiple bathrooms these are all options) Pool used to be nice and warm a few years ago but last few times it was not as warm. Not cold or bad or anything, just not the nice warm pool we fell in love with a few years ago. It's nice and clean though. Love this place, we try to stay here at least twice a year.

This was a beautiful resort nestled up by itself overlooking the bay. It depends on what you are looking for.....it was very quiet and the rooms were spacious however it's not necessary close to anything else and driving home at night can be tricky because it gets super dark. I kind of wish we had stayed somewhere that was more walking distance to restaurants, etc. Overall though it's very pretty.
