Mountain Brook Club was established in 1929 as part of the planned community of Mountain Brook, developed by Robert Jemison Jr. . The course was designed by renowned architect Donald Ross and opened for play in 1930 . The club has maintained its position as one of Alabama's most prestigious private clubs throughout its history .
