Water Valley Golf Club

About the club

As of October 2021 Water Valley Golf & Country Club is under new ownership. To rebrand and simplify, the name of the golf course has changed to Water Valley Golf Club. Since taking possession, a full scale renovation of the existing Clubhouse, Pro Shop and Snack Shack has taken place. Renovations were completed in Spring 2022. A new driving range and practice area will be available for the 2022 season. There have been many improvements made around the course at the end of last season (2021) and there are many future plans for the course in the works. The course originally opened in 1988 as a 9 hole golf course and in 1995 expanded to 18 holes. Water Valley Golf Club is a semi-private 18-hole, par 72, 6,790-yard course. It's located in the beautiful foothills of the County of Mountain View, aptly named for its view of the Canadian Rockies. Nestled in a scenic valley tucked away among rolling hills. The woodland layout features stands of poplar and spruce trees as well as lush and abundant vegetation along the fairways, which gives a completely secluded feeling. It incorporates elevation changes, emphasizing strategic hole design and placement. The course is located a short 25 minute drive north of Cochrane on Highway #22 and only 35 minutes from NW Calgary. Many golfers from all over Alberta enjoy the tree-lined fairways, which are a real test of a golfer's skill, and yet a fair training ground for the novice. Water Valley Golf Club is a hidden gem that everyone needs to experience, which is why many golfers consider it to be a jewel of the West. Water Valley Golf Club offers Open Public Play, Golf Memberships, Golf Tournaments and Events.
