About the club

This is another outstanding course designed by Greg Norman for Kerry Packer, his long time friend and a great promoter of golf in Australia. Speaking of this course, Norman has said, "for me, Ellerstone was a very special project. It had taken me more than ten years to convince Kerry that he should build his own golf course, and when the decision was made, his brief was unique: create the best course possible with as few tees as possible; build a course that penalizes poor shots, makes the golfer think and above all play hard." Packer saw to it that this vision was more than realized in a private course for his family and old friends, for which reason there is no clubhouse. Ellerstone, with its charming slopes and wandering, is very much a product of its landscape, and no golfer would miss the opportunity to play here.
