About the club

Jack Nicklaus designed the St. John Course for Heritage Golf & Country Club in conjunction with the Henley Course. Together these courses make for a splendid golf complex, which is centered on a roomy clubhouse with great vistas out on the course. Nicklaus gave careful consideration to each hole, and offers tips about them on the Club's website. His comments on the 18th encapsulate the experience: "Many more matches will be won on this hole with a par than lost to birdies. The golfer has the choice to carry the bunkers protecting the inside of the dogleg, so less club to the green and a much better angle, or they can play more conservatively, avoiding the bunkers, but leaving the longer shot with much more angle to the green." Most golfers will probably want to follow the latter suggestion. For a break from golf, try hot-air ballooning over nearby Yarra Valley.
