About the club
This links-style course was recently designed by Ross Watson, and it recalls its English and Irish exemplars, being set in a location that seems perfect for golf, with hollows and dunes surrounded by scrub land. The clubhouse is the center point for two 9-hole tracks that are replete with seventy bunkers. Extending south and west, the front nine features stunning views of the Pacific and Lake Tuggerah on either side. The back nine, on the other hand, moves along north to take on some of the character of the surrounding rainforest and public parkland. This course can be hard on average players, what with the wind and its 6305-meter length, and the contoured and sheltered greens favor the short game. For maximum enjoyment, concentrate on stroke play over match play and don't bother with the pencil and the card. Despite the rugged environs, maintenance is top-notch.
