The Royal Golf Club

Opened in 2009 and situated in the heart of Bahrain, the Royal Golf Club forms the centerpiece of Riffa Views, the island's first luxury residential gated community. The Club was selected as the host venue of the European Tour’s Volvo Golf Champions tournament in 2010, just one year after opening. Located 20-minutes drive from the capital city, Manama, and the same distance from the Saudi-Bahrain causeway, the Royal Golf Club attracts visitors from all over the Gulf region and further afield. The Club offers the best of both worlds; exclusive membership options are available while visitors are also very welcome. The Club’s 7,102 yard par 72 18-hole championship course was designed by golfing legend Colin Montgomerie as was the Wee Monty 9-hole, par 3 course. Floodlights on the back 9 holes of the Montgomerie course and across the whole of the Wee Monty course mean that golfers can enjoy a relaxing round of golf in the cool of the evening. Additional facilities at the stunning Royal Golf Club include a state-of-the art golf academy with all the latest tuition software and practice facilities, two well-equipped meeting rooms, a fully stocked golf & leisure shop, a purpose-built function room, an award-winning international restaurant, family-friendly pizzeria and a café. The adjoining Royal Country Club boasts a temperature-controlled outdoor swimming pool and multi-purpose sports court set in beautifully landscaped gardens as well as a fitness studio and separate ladies and gents gyms, saunas and steam rooms indoors.
