About the club

The City of San Diego is a municipal government serving approximately 1.4 million residents across 325 square miles. Established in 1850, it operates under a strong mayor-council form of government, with the Mayor acting as the chief executive. The City Council, composed of nine members, is responsible for legislation. The current Mayor is Todd Gloria, and the government emphasizes responsiveness, transparency, and inclusivity.
