About the club
Calabasas Country Club has a rich historical backdrop dating back to the early 1960s when it was constructed by the renowned father-and-son architecture team of Robert Trent Jones Sr. and Jr. The property on which the club stands has a colorful history dating back to the Spanish land grant days of California. The club's iconic gates stand atop the site of the old Mureau Estate, a 25-room mansion owned by a French Count and Countess. The count erected the gate back in the 1920s, and it has since become a historic landmark. The Calabasas Country Club is a private institution, and as of pre-2020, only members and their guests may use the club's golf and social facilities.
