The pinnacle of luxury and relaxation can be found in the San Diego foothills at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar and its golf course the Grand Golf Club. With European and Mediterranean-style rooms, suites and villas set on over 400 acres of the Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve and natural area, the resort is a blissful natural getaway. The Fairmont is home to a recently renovated five-star spa as well as six unique dining experiences highlighted by Addison, the first Michelin three-star restaurant in San Diego. Partnered with the resort is the members-only Tom Fazio-designed Grand Golf Club opened in 1999 and features subtly undulating fairways guarded tightly by canyon walls and thick trees. Perfectly maintained green complexes give way to stunning views into the Los Peñasquitos reserve creating idyllic picturesque moments. The Grand Club is highlighted by its dramatic and intimidating par 3s at the sixth and 17th holes, as well as the standout par-4 finishing hole played over a waterfall with the 50,000 square foot clubhouse in the backdrop.

We spent about 10 days at Fairmont Grand Del Mar in late January/early February with our family, and it was truly one of the best vacations we have ever had. The resort and grounds are exceptionally maintained, the rooms were pristine, and we felt pampered from the moment we arrived. What stood out most was the staff. The level of attention to our family was unbelievable. Everything we asked for was handled immediately and with genuine care. Our daughter was celebrating her 7th birthday, and they truly made it special for her in ways we won’t forget. A special thank you to Dylan and Neil at the front desk and Jose Sanchez from room service. Also, the family pool staff was consistently attentive and provided wonderful service. We can’t wait to return in the spring. Thank you for an incredible stay! D + T + E 😊

Had an incredible couples weekend. Shout out to Michelle in reservations who brilliantly helped us coordinate several rooms; she’s really good. Loved the spa; massage therapists are so next level. Adult pool is tranquil and the team there were so accommodating and professional. Lobby bar is cool and the burger is stupendous.

We stayed at the Fairmont Del Mar with my husband and our toddler for Christmas, and we had the best time. The property is one of the most beautiful we've stayed at, the atmosphere for Christmas was fantastic, and our baby really loved the wonderful decor and seeing Santa around the hotel throughout our stay. The only thing we have to say is that our room was not ready when we arrived - which is fine because we were a little early - but after over one hour of trying to kill time in the lobby with our baby, an employee at the reception checked on the status and the room had been ready for a while. It is too bad the person who initially checked us in did not update us, as our toddler began to become hungry and tired. Other than that, we had a fantastic time and would love to come again.
