Singing Hills Golf Resort - Oak Glen Golf Course
About the club
Gorgeous par 72 course, Oak Glen boasts tight fairways, tricky rolling greens, and difficult hazards all set among mature, landscaped surroundings. Sweetwater River runs through the course so get ready to cross the river with an accurate drive on the beautiful yet treacherous 5th hole — one of the best golf holes in San Diego. Oak Glen was redesigned by Ted Robinson in 1980 and by Dave Fleming in 1991. The original architect for all 54 holes of golf was Cecil Holingsworth. Due to severe flooding, the golf course was later redesigned by renowned golf course architect Ted Robinson, Sr. Robinson added elevation changes from tee boxes, green approaches, and tiers to several of the green complexes to demand that golfers skillfully manage their approaches. Lakes were added to demand more challenging golf shots, and bunkers were redesigned to aid in the aesthetics of the green complexes. Today, Singing Hills Golf Resort is proud to host the Junior World Golf Championships, numerous SCGA and USGA Championship qualifiers, the San Diego Junior Amateur, the annual PGA Chapter Shootout, numerous local charity events, and has been the host golf course for events such as the US Junior Amateur.
