About the club

Top designer Robert Trent Jones II is responsible for this course in the center of Shanghai's Anting district, which is a major hub in China's car-manufacturing industry located not too far from the city's old town Bund district. Jones' layout obscures the surrounding manufacturing facilities behind carefully positioned artificial hills to create a veritable island of golf. Visitors are welcomed by a luxurious clubhouse with all the goods and services players want and need, and they have ready access to the neighboring Crowne Plaza Hotel. Abundant water hazards and bunkers together add beauty and some real challenges to the course. Local grasses shape the play and create autumn colors in season, which together with magnolias and cedars, help to maintain the illusion of parkland and create a stunning contrast with the greens and fairways. The course is also known for a standard of upkeep unsurpassed among Shanghai's courses.
