Fazio Course at Red Sky Golf Club

About the club

Located in the Rockies not far outside of the skiing mecca of Vail, Red Sky Ranch is immersed in natural tranquility and beauty, so expect to see some of the mountain fauna as you play your round. Tom Fazio's eponymous layout begins with a stretch of four par 4s and a pair of par 5s; from the 7th to the 9th it's a pair of par 3s and a 4; the back nine are likewise staggered in terms of their par values. The topography is highly varied, and so is not very walkable. A round can be completed in well under five hours since there are rarely very many players at one time. Risk-averse golfers can get by with just three balls, but the more daring may go through a couple of sleeves. The facilities in general are first-rate, including the pair of luxurious clubhouses (one for members and a larger one for guests).
