About the club

In preparation for his first solo design, Craig traveled overseas to study the great links and engage the features he tapped into for inspiration at Rodeo Dunes. The result is what you’d expect given Craig’s experience, and the fact he worked closely with Michael Keiser on early routings. The rumpled, rambling land is comfortably and naturally integrated into a design that feels like it has the qualities that only come with time. “There’s a lot of similarities between what I’ve witnessed at places like North Berwick in Scotland and Rodeo Dunes, which is near Denver,” says Craig. “And those features are what make the property—and the course—so compelling.” The land on Craig’s design contrasts nicely with the design being completed by Coore and Crenshaw nearby. Craig’s site utilizes large dunes like those found in Ireland, and emphasizes the drama of the land. The result is a breathtaking course where grand strategies are only matched by the incredible scale of the property.
