About the club

Designer Erik Schnack originally laid out the Holstebro Golf Club's Skovbanen course in the early Seventies, and Robert Trent Jones carried out renovations some three decades later. The result is a relaxing and intriguing golfing experience that plays out over contoured, wooded and sandy terrain. Mature trees define many of the fairways, which rise and fall with the land; trees also help to form the holes. The many doglegged longer holes will reward those players who can shape their shots right or left; bunkering, on the other hand, is fairly minimal, with only 33 bunkers on the greens and 9 on the fairways. Each hole on the Skovbanen is unique, but the standout here would have to be the 570-yard, par 5 13th for its sculpted fairway and carefully defended green. The multiple teeing options available make the course fun for players of all skill levels.
