About the club

It is perhaps no wonder that the Lubker Golf Resort, which opened in 2008, is the first facility of its kind in the Scandinavian countries, given that so many other places are more hospitable for golf. The site for this Robert Trent Jones II design, at least, could hardly be better, with its expanses of open land replete with native vegetation and trees and an evergreen forest defining one edge, as well as creeks and small lakes. Three nines were laid out here, named Forest, Sand and Sky, the last two of which combine to make up the championship course. The layout does suffer the drawback of seeming to have been stretched out to fit the available space, leaving some of the American-style wastelands that don't do much to add to the experience. Many players, however, would consider such complaints trivial, and name the Lubker the top course in the country.
