About the club

The Jones, as it is known, is the second of two courses to be constructed at the historic Skjoldenaesholm Golfklub. The 6500-meter course is laid out in the midst of a lovely landscape with a nice mix of mature trees, thick grass and countryside that constitute a perfect location for golf, especially given the absence of the new residential development that surrounds so many contemporary courses. The famous designer's influence is evident in the American feel, but the course nevertheless blends in well with its surroundings. An ancient rock wall adds character to the layout and is in play on a number of the holes, as are some of the trees. The course is especially attractive in August and September, when the grass changes from emerald to gold. The most significant challenges here are probably the water hazards, though average golfers will find some safe routes past them.
