About the club

Tornio Golf / Meri-Lapin Golf Club Course is an 18 ­hole course located on the border of northern Finland and Sweden. Our course lies on the river delta of the Torne. The towns of Tornio and Haparanda with their hotels and the Rajalla shopping centre and other services are just a two­-minute drive away. Our golf 18-­hole course lies on the border of Finland and Sweden – 11 holes in Sweden and 7 in Finland. Due to the time difference you can hit the longest Hole­-in­-one in the world on the 6th hole – The ball flies approximately one hour and 5 seconds due to the time difference between Sweden and Finland since the borderline lies on the 6th green. The multitude of water hazards make our course an unique and beautiful golfing experience without forgetting the added challenge. The extended daylight hours allow you to play around-­the­-clock during midsummer. Playing in the autumn can be a breathtaking experience with all the autumn colors. Our season starts late May and ends mid­-October. The clubhouse restaurant with its large terrace invites you to enjoy a snack and an ice­ cold beverage or two. Our locker rooms are equipped with showers and if need be – a sauna. There’s also a small but well­-equipped proshop next to the caddiemasters office. The practice areas for chipping and putting as well as the driving range are located just outside the clubhouse.
