About the club

The PGA's center of operations is in Palm Beach Gardens near Miami, and that of the US Tour is in Ponte Vedra not far from Jacksonville. The Tour is generally recognized as the dominant force in US golf, but it is the PGA that controls the majors, its own championship and a part of the Ryder Cup, competitions in which the Tour has no part. The PGA Golf Club at PGA Village is now well into its second decade, and it has got all that you would expect at PGA home base: three courses, golf academies, and facilities for training personnel and for testing new equipment. Of the three courses here, Pete Dye's is the finest, and is a great example of how to make the most of the Sunshine State's low-lying land. Dye brought to this design what he learned working on the Tour's legendary Sawgrass, with superb results.
