Golf Club Du Forez

About the club

The Golf Club du Forez was created in the Forez plain some 25 kilometers from Saint-Etienne in the early 80s. Designed by the golf architect Michel Gayon, the recently modified course is 5754m for a par 70 and a slope of 126 (see score card), is installed on a 40 hectares course where more than 5000 trees or shrubs have been planted. 4 ponds decorate 7 holes of the course. All the greens are raised, which gives the course a certain difficulty, not immediately perceptible, and which experienced golfers have been able to measure the impact on their score. The course is complemented by a 1-hectare driving range with 8 covered and 20 open-air positions, a green and a bunker for practice approaches and a 9-hole putting green. The 600m2 club house houses a very friendly restaurant, a bar and a lounge where it is good to come and comment on one's performances, a large area reserved for bridge players as well as a pro-shop well stocked with clothing and equipment.
