Golf Club Du Gouverneur - Montaplan

About the club

In the unique landscape and unspoiled nature of the Dombes, Le Golf du Gouverneur offers 45 holes with graduated difficulties and so diversified interests that they are appreciated by beginners and experienced golfers alike. Everyone can fully express his or her talent, take pleasure in the midst of a wild but never frightened fauna, and progress in their game in complete serenity. Beginners as well as experienced players will appreciate the two 18-hole marked out courses as well as the 9 holes between woods and ponds, forests and valleys. The Hotel and the Golf du Domaine du Gouverneur belong to those rare places where one feels immediately invaded by a feeling of serenity. Here, time stands still to make you better appreciate nature. The Château du Breuil (14th century) and its outbuildings have retained all the refinement that was for a long time the privilege of the Governor of the Dombes. At the Golf du Gouverneur, a nature paradise, take the time to appreciate six centuries of tradition. Here the golfer can find the wonders that only nature can offer him. The flight of ducks, the measured pace of the grey heron, the elegance of swans gliding along the water, the unexpected visit of storks, or the crossing of the fairway in single file by a coot and its offspring, are shows that leave strong images and contribute to the fullness of the player's happiness.
